Biography

WHS 75-80 D.C. REUNION TEAM

Antoine Michael Holmes '75: Antoine, as we knew him, attended Wagner from 1973 - 1975. He made many friends through his participation in Cross Country and Track. After graduation, he attended North Carolina Central and graduated with a degree in psychology. He served 25 years in the Air Force, working in a variety of positions: a nuclear missile launch officer, a member of countdown teams for test launches, and the division chief on the Air Combat Command staff at Langley AFB in Hampton, VA. He was responsible for the mission planning systems for fighters, bombers, and reconnaissance aircraft.

Since retiring from the USAF, Antoine has worked for an international consulting company. He and his wife, Myra, enjoy life with their three daughters, Lindsay, Lauren and Ashlei.

Mark Anderson, '78: Mark was at Clark AB from January 1977 to May 1978, except for a brief trip he took to Tripler in Hawaii. What? He lived in three places at Clark in 16 months--Villa Sol, the barns (site of some big parties), and in housing next to the Parade Grounds. While at Wagner, he played baseball, wrestling and Youth Center football and participated in SGA activities. His favorite activity at Wagner was organizing “Blood Manor” with B.T.

Today Mark is a federal employee for the Department of Defense in Washington D.C. He has worked for the DoD for 28 years, along the way earning his BS at U. of MD and MSSI at the Joint Military Intelligence College in D.C. Concurrently, he served 10 years as an officer in the Navy Reserve. Between his civilian job and his Reserve Duty, Mark has had TDYs around the globe. He also is a part-time actor. These days, in his off hours you will find him on a golf course, on a lake, or on a deer hunt. He loves oldies music, drinks heavily alone in the dark, and is in shock about college tuition. The love of his life, Elizabeth, has been at his side since 1977. The Andersons make their home in southern Maryland about 20 minutes south of Washington D.C.

Liz Wilson Anderson, '79: Liz Wilson lived at Clark AB from 1974 to 1978 in their home in Villa Sol outside of Friendship Gate. She left Clark the end of her junior year and finished high school a semester early in Pineville, Louisiana where she attended college at LSU.

Today, Liz is a registered nurse in an OB/GYN office, and at Southern Maryland Hospital recovery room. In 1984 she married high school sweetheart Mark Anderson (78). She continued her education at U of Maryland while working for the FBI and then Defense Intelligence Agency. Liz stopped working in the mid-1980’s for five years to be a full-time mom to two beautiful daughters; Jessica, 20, is a senior at the college of William & Mary, and Jackie, 18, a high school senior. While a full-time mom, Liz earned a degree in nursing. Liz’s hobbies these days include shopping, making Swarovski crystal jewelry, shopping and being a mom. (Comment--After reading Mark’s bio, you’ll understand why Liz has so little time to do things for herself…. Mark is always away doing things…Doh!) Occasionally, she travels with Mark on business, and loves visiting her parents and her brothers, Dave Wilson (78) and Danny Wilson (83) in Charleston S.C.

Beth Lamoreaux '78: Beth lived at Clark through the 7th-9th grades. Her older sister, Donna '76, got to graduate from Wagner before the family moved to Homestead AFB near Miami. After high school, Beth attended Goucher College, a liberal arts, private college in Baltimore, Maryland. She spent a semester abroad in Geneva, Switzerland and spent every weekend and session break traveling -- going as far north as Copenhagen, as far south as Luxor, Egypt, as far east as Athens, and as far west as London. She still loves traveling.

Working in the telecom industry, Beth worked in management, overseeing a wide range of events and promotions. One of her responsibilities was to plan and execute incentive trips for the top sales reps. This was perfect for an avid traveler, as it included trips to Hong Kong, Spain, and Italy. In 1994, she married the love of her life, Joel Feinberg, and today they live in Washington D.C. where Beth volunteers as a docent at two historic house museums. She gets to talk about history, architecture, and art.

Website Editor, Nina Pierce Baker, '77 Nina attended schools at various bases in the Philippines from 5th grade through her graduation at Clark in 1977. (Clark was her favorite experience and the kids at Wagner were the friendliest group she encountered!). After graduation, she went on to get a degree in Ecology from the University of California, San Diego, which she has never used professionally.

Living in Northeast Ohio for the past 25 years, she has succeeded in only going moderately insane while tending to two children, Caitlin & Cameron, one husband, Keith, assorted pets and working full time in the sales and marketing deparment for a software company. She enjoys working on this web site and the new friendships she's formed as a result.

Reunion Consultant, Myrna Nickelsen, '78: Myrna spent two years at Wagner -- 74-75 and 76-77. She graduated with Karen Trevino Johnson, '78, from a high school in Schertz, TX. She has a journalism degree from The University of Texas at Austin. She has been a marketing & PR consultant since 1993, save for a 2 1/2 year stint in a dot-com venture she founded and headed. She now runs a PR firm called Gear Seven Communications which serves young technology, Internet, and consumer products companies.

She lives across the Bay Bridge from VERY LIBERAL San Francisco, next to the "NEARLY COMMUNIST" city of Berkeley, with her hubby, John, a musician. Her job requires her to stay abreast of current events and to be aware of all media in general, so she literally reads dozens of magazines a month, surfs the web for blogs, reads multiple newspapers and online media daily, and yet still thinks that reading a great book (literature and non-fiction) is sheer pleasure. She's also a political junkie.
